Privacy Policy (GDPR)

This policy explains how we process personal data when you use the application, in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Data controller

2. Data we process

  • Data you enter in the calculator (grape variety, quantity, wine style) — used only to calculate your recipe.
  • Payment data: email address, country, amount, transaction identifier. Card details are handled entirely by the payment provider and are never stored by us.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, error logs — for security and service stability.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — delivering the paid worksheet and issuing the payment document.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — tax and accounting records.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — security, fraud prevention, and technical support.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only if we later use optional cookies or marketing messages.

4. Cookies

  • We use only strictly necessary cookies and local storage to run the site, remember your selections, and process payments securely.
  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies without explicit consent.

5. Recipients and processors

  • Payment provider (Stripe) — payment processing and receipt/invoice issuance.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the application.
  • We never sell or rent personal data to third parties.

6. International transfers

  • Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another valid safeguard.

7. Retention

  • Accounting and tax documents — for the period required by applicable law.
  • Technical and error logs — up to 12 months.
  • Calculator inputs are not retained after the document is generated, unless part of a purchase record.

8. Your rights

  • Access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Комисия за защита на личните данни (cpdp.bg).
  • Requests can be sent to support@winelab.app and are handled within one month.

9. Security

  • We apply technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections and restricted access to data.
